Jekyll is fucking awesome. Rather, perhaps, the feeling that using a static site generator is awesome. After years of mucking about with WordPress installs and various other dynamic blogging engines with way too many features and way too many maintenance requirements, I'm hopeful that Jekyll will be a nice reprieve. I can manage the whole site through git, edit all my posts in vim in either Markdown or HTML (or whatever else), and at the end of the day, all I have to do is deploy a bunch of static HTML files. Clean and easy.
